Grand carriage trail in the forest of Perseigne
The list of itineraries is a simple listing of trails open to horseback riders. It is necessary to check the usability of these trails with the organisation that manages them (Town or Departmental Council). Reminder: Riding can be dangerous on the trail. You should always be in control of your horse and adapt your behaviour and your gait to the environment. |

The Regional natural reserve of Normandy-Maine has just realised two trails availables for carriage drivers, with support from ONF (National Forestry Office), Departmental Council for the Sarthe, and the help of the CDTE 72 (Departmental Equestrian Tourism Committee) and the Cercle Équestre de l'Apothicairerie (Equestrian Centre).
Here is a presentation of the largest one.
This trail is, of course, open to riders; however, the path was designed primarily for carriages.
The whole route is marked with official carriage markings.
