Forest of Olonne
The list of itineraries is a simple listing of trails open to horseback riders. It is necessary to check the usability of these trails with the organisation that manages them (Town or Departmental Council). Reminder: Riding can be dangerous on the trail. You should always be in control of your horse and adapt your behaviour and your gait to the environment. |

Cet itinéraire vous propose 22,5km en forêt et 4,5km de plage.
In the forest, the trail is marked. Sections were created and stopping places for riders and horses are available in the areas of "Curé" and "La Sainte Emilienne". This last section offers the largest car parks.
Small car parks:
- Marais Gillard, in front of the equestrian centre of Sauveterre. Access to the forest via the path provided between the paddocks of the equestrian centre.
- La Sainte Emilienne has a passage under the road to access the forest.
Beaches can only be accessed by the "Sauveterre" holds. Dates and times that holds can be accessed are :
- from 15 September to 14 April: 3 hours before and 3 hours after the tide,
- from 15 April to 14 June: closed from 12:30pm to 7:30pm
- from 15 June to 14 September: until 10:30am and from 7:30pm.
Please note : a bag and a shovel are required to collect horse dropings on the holds access.
