The dense forest is marked by a horseshoe. A map is required because at some intersections, you might meet other trails and take another loop.
This trail combines all the characteristics of the forest, by the diversity of its trees, hilly areas, historical heritage (Grotto of the Father of Montfort, Château de Mervent in the centre of the village).
This trail can be taken in any season, two fords are passable except during weather alerts or very large floods
Caution: the slope is steep and the rocks are very sleepery in the Sauvaget loop.
